My name is Timothy Mututi, a violin teacher at Wynton House of Music. Music has been an integral source of comfort and joy in my life. From my early years I have always loved the sound of the violin.
My musical journey began at St. Mary’s School Orchestra in High School where I was recognized as the best violinist in 2008. I joined the youth group at Consolata Church, Westlands where I was inspired to record and release two violin instrumental albums Divine Love and A Christmas Special that are still selling numerous copies to date.
I have had the opportunity to talk about the violin and its impact in my life as well as the Kenyan culture courtesy of national television shows like “The Trend” and “Crossover101”. In addition to showcasing the violin in a popular setting, I have been part of the Symphony and Prelude Orchestra at the Kenya Music Conservatoire.
I strive to teach the violin in a simple and fundamental way that encourages my students to develop proper technique in an easy and fun way, regardless of their experience and level of playing.
The violin could be the best friend you are yet to meet.
